Variable Wind Solutions' mission is to provide technologies and products for the wind industry in order to help expand the range of locations where wind turbines can be used to generate clean, renewable power.

To achieve this, we develop advanced, innovative solutions that:

Improve power quality across a wide range of wind speeds, and especially in low and variable speed winds. When low and variable speed winds can be more effectively utilized to generate power of the required quality, overall turbine output increases as well. 

Simplify turbine mechanics and electronics to improve turbine reliability, minimize operational downtime, and reduce maintenance requirements.

Improve the economics of wind-generated power by reducing the upfront equipment capital costs, and/or increasing the amount of power being generated by that same turbine over its lifetime, and/or reducing the amount of time, money, and effort required to connect to the grid.
 
Variable Wind Solutions offers technologies for the small wind turbine market, large wind turbine market, wave, current, and tidal power market, and works with strategic and local partners to develop urban wind farms.
